Triumph NIL signs Carson DeMartini, Keely Rochard
Baseball and softball standouts become the first members of the inaugural Triumph roster to be announced
[Blacksburg, VA, May 26, 2022] Triumph NIL today announced the signing of Carson DeMartini and Keely Rochard to Name, Image, Likeness’ (NIL) contracts. Launched April 15, 2022 as an NIL sports marketing agency, Triumph develops custom partnerships for collegiate student-athletes with members of the business community, supporters and fans. The eclectic group specializes in building meaningful business relationships that meet all NCAA compliance and State legal criteria.

DeMartini, a start third baseman on the Virginia Tech baseball team, finished the regular season earning ACC All-Freshman Team honors for the ACC Coastal Division champions. The Virginia Beach, Virginia, native started 50 of his 51 appearances, hitting .333 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs. The Hokies begin postseason play at the 2022 ACC Baseball Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the nation’s No. 2-ranked team.
“Having the opportunity to play for and succeed with the Virginia Tech baseball team this year has been very special,” said DeMartini. “Working and playing for Coach Szefc and the coaching staff is a tremendous blessing. I feel just as fortunate to work with the team at Triumph. As I focus my efforts on my baseball career, it is nice to know that Triumph has my best interest off the field. Rochard, a senior pitcher for the Virginia Tech softball team, is one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history. The Williamsburg, Virginia native was named the third All-American in program history in 2021 and just the second First Team member. She was the ACC Pitcher of the Year in back-to-back seasons (2021 and 2022), as well as a 2022 Top-10 Finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
This season, Rochard has accumulated 321 strikeouts in 193.1 innings, which ranks third in all of NCAA Division I. She is 25-3 in the circle with a .170 batting average against and a 1.70 ERA. The Hokies will host the NCAA Tournament Super Regional round beginning Friday afternoon and are the #3 ranked team in the country.
